From the Candidate:

It would be my honor to serve as a Board candidate, as I began my career in Financial Aid as a line Work Study student. I have worked very hard to earn each position including Financial Aid Counselor (who verified and packaged aid to my select set of students), Veteran’s Certifying Official, Loan Coordinator, Assistant Director, and finally Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships during my journey. I began my career in education at the age of forty years old and can bring a not only a unique prospective and insight to the committee, but also a wealth of knowledge as a former non-traditional student, work study student, and financial aid administrator. I have years of experience with assisting veteran and military-affiliated students, special population students; many who are economically disadvantaged, single parents, and students with learning disabilities. For the past several years, I have reviewed, approved, or denied a multitude of Professional Judgments. In my opinion I would be a valuable asset to the TASFA Board.
