Greetings!

Welcome to TASFAA!  As our name suggests we are an association of Texas Student Financial Aid Administrators.  Our title only partially describes us though.  Spend some time around our membership and you will find that we are individuals who devote significant resources to training our members, education, outreach to the community, the legislative process, and in developing partnerships to advance our mission.  It is hard work but well worth the investment!   In the past few years, the financial aid industry has become even more challenging with new legislative mandates and budget battles on both the state and federal levels.  We are continually asked to do more with less.  The concept that technology makes your life easier is only true up to a point.  The membership of TASFAA is made up of a diverse group that includes institutions of higher education, representatives from state agencies, guarantee agencies, lenders, foundations, and others interested in student financial aid matters.   

Regardless of our membership status, we ultimately serve the students by promoting access to higher education for all.  It is with that goal in mind that we educate ourselves to navigate the rules and regulations.  While most of us in this profession didn’t dream of being Financial Aid Administrators we did dream of helping people and that is what we strive to do each day.  And that is a very good thing to do!
