TASFAA Focus on Professional Development

Guarantor NSLP (National Student Loan Program) will offer their ongoing “Learning Links” webcast series this summer, with some awesome opportunities for professional and personal development. Offered once monthly, these sessions are two hours in length, and have no registration cost. Topics are designed specifically for financial aid professionals, and cover everything from communication techniques and personnel management to student loan policy and financial literacy strategies.

The June Learning Links topics will be “Effective Verbal Communication” and “Developing and Delivering Successful Presentations.” In July, the topics will be “Multi-Tasking” and “Persistence (Re)Pays: Win-Win Solutions for Default Prevention.” August topics are “Frugal Living on a College Budget” and “Going Private – The Ins and Outs of Alternative Loans.” To register for any or all sessions, go to www.nslp.org and click on “Workshops and Webcasts” in the bottom right corner of the homepage.
