Where Are They Now?

Do you ever wonder what happened to…? Didn’t they use to work at…? Life happens. Members of TASFAA move around—probably not any more than the rest of the country, but it is still hard to keep up sometimes. This fall the newspaper committee asked the membership to tell us about changes—not just in location, but in position, too. Here are the responses we received:

  • Lisa Seals, formerly of Tarrent County College NW campus, is now a realtor in the metroplex area. She can be reached at lisaseals@ebby.com.

  • Trina Smith Patterson is the new Campus Director at Tarrent County College NW.

  • Margaret Cervantes, former Aid Director at Howard College, is now the Assistant Controller/Student Accounting.

  • Jason Mims is the Financial Aid Director at Howard College.

  • Lanette Wigginton, retired after 40 years at Temple College. Wigginton spent 20 years in the FA office.

  • Alma Valdez, formerly of UTPA, is now the Rio Grand Valley Regional FA Advisor for Texas A&M University.

  • Marie Alaniz, formerly of UH-Victoria, is now a Client Relations Executive for Brazos Higher Education.

  • Ann Fairchilds, formerly of the University of Texas, has retired after 33 years on the Financial Aid Industry.

  • Pat Jost, has accepted the Executive Director of Student Financial Aid at Texas A & M University System Health Science Center.

  • Bonnie Sullivan of Texas A & M University System Health Science Center has been promoted to Assistant Director.

  • June Perry, formerly of University of Texas Southwester Medical Center, is now an Account Executive at TG.

  • Doug Shriner, former Aid Director at UNT Health Science Center, is currently working for North Texas Higher Education.

  • Martin Hernandez, former Assistant FAD at UNT HSC, is now an account executive at the Access Group.

  • Cynthia Butler, formerly of CFS, is now with Student Capital.

  • David Garza, formerly of TG’s Policy Group has accepted the position of Strategic Accounts Manager with Education Finance Partners.

  • Jodie Weeks, formerly of Brazosport College, is now a FA Advisor at the University of Houston.

  • Diana Daniels, formerly of Comerica Bank, is now in a management position with Horizon Educational Resources.

  • Rick Medley, formerly of The Access Group, is now working in the home mortgage industry in Dallas. He and his wife are expecting a baby boy in October too.

  • Janis Herbert, formerly of Herring National Bank Student Loan Division, is currently a part-time teacher’s aid at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dallas. She can be reached at scottandjanis@sbcglobal.net.

  • Ann Duncan of Howard College retired on August 31, 2006.
