President’s Message
By June Hagler, SMU

Dear TASFAA Members,

We are all so busy with our “real jobs” during this time of the year, in addition to this year’s new program implementations, yet I am constantly amazed how the TASFAA Board, Committee Chairs, and Committee Members are working, planning, and donating countless volunteer hours to further the important mission of TASFAA. Thank you everyone for an outstanding TASFAA year.

I want to remind everyone how important it is to begin using TRAINetwork. If you have not yet looked at the database, just click and see how easy it is to use. This fantastic tool will validate all our members’ hard work to recruit, retain, and graduate our next generation of students. It is very important to take just a few minutes to track your past, current, and future outreach activities.

The Annual Conference Committee has planned a great conference—Explore, Discover, and Renew—in San Antonio, October 10-13, 2006. Based on the Crown Plaza Hotel reservations received, the whole TASFAA membership plans to attend! Check out the TASFAA website for more information.

The remaining 2005-2006 Board meetings will be July 20-21 in Dallas, October 10 prior to the Conference, and October 13 after the Conference. TASFAA members are always invited to attend the Board meetings.

See you in San Antonio in October!

Stop and count your blessings,
June
