Although school may still be out for the summer, we know that the work of the financial aid professional never slows! To help you get ready for the next academic year, we would like to update you on some of TG’s new solutions and services that are available. Update on TG's implementation of Grad PLUS
TG's business partner services team has been working diligently since the signing of the Higher Education Reconciliation Act (HERA) of 2005 to integrate Grad PLUS loan processing and other changes due to HERA provisions into TG's products and services. We would like to provide an update on TG's plan to accommodate this new loan type with our business partners.

TG publishes HERA reference sheets for customers
To assist customers with understanding, communicating, and implementing changes required by the recent passage of the Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005 (HERA), TG has prepared and published a series of reference sheets.

E-mail encryption and TG Loans By Web™
Over the past few months, TG has been implementing an e-mail encryption program to help protect our customers' non-public, personal information (NPI).

TG establishes $500,000 Textbook Awards fund to help students affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita
TG's Public Benefit Grant Program, a philanthropic initiative of TG, has set aside $500,000 to help students whose education was interrupted by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The TG Textbook Awards program will provide 1,000 students with $500 grants to purchase textbooks and education-related supplies for the 2006 summer session or the fall 2006 semester.
