SWASFAA Delegate Report

Make plans to join your SWASFAA colleagues at the fall conference being held at the Renaissance Hotel in Tulsa Oklahoma November 8 - 10. The conference committee has been working very hard on developing the program and its theme. The Theme is “Putting on the Ritz – 2006.” Thursday evening will have a version of the Grammy’s. There will be a black tie event including the red carpet for “A Night at the SWASFEES.” There will even be a version of E! on the Red Carpet as the pre-function reception. The room rate is $113.00 (double/king). See you in Tulsa.

Please make sure your school is up to date on their SWASFAA membership. If you join SWASFAA now or renew your membership by September 1, 2006 your institution could win a $1,000 scholarship to attend the SWASFAA Conference in November. There are many benefits of SWASFAA membership such as training, NASFAA representation, mentoring, technology, professional development, legislative representation, and networking. Financial aid directors should be watching out for a Boot Camp survey coming out. This is an effort by the Boot Camp Committee to provide the most beneficial training to our newest financial aid administrators. Please provide your input.
