ATLE Update

ATLE held its first board meeting for the fiscal year on November 4, 2005. The meeting was called to order at Texas Independent Bank in Irving, TX.

ATLE Updates:

• SAVE THE DATE! ATLE’s Annual Conference is scheduled for May 10-12, 2006 in San Antonio. Hotel TBD.
• We wish the best of luck to Clint Elliott, outgoing Board Member, who left the student loan industry. John Tipton will serve the remainder of his board term.
• Christy Phillips was nominated by the Board to serve as Vice President for the ’05-’06 year.
• Each year, ATLE is proud to award scholarships to three deserving students from Texas schools. The Board has selected the following three colleges for receipt of the ATLE scholarships this year:
  • Tarleton State University
  • SW Assembly of God University
  • Laredo Community College

As always, ATLE looks forward to another productive and exciting year as we continue to partner with and support students, parents, and the financial aid community in Texas!
