USA Funds Presents Scholarship Funding to Texas Schools
By Sandra Holt and Mae Dunn-St. Julien, USA Funds Services

USA Funds® recently awarded $1,000 checks for scholarships at two Texas postsecondary schools. The University of Texas at El Paso and Del Mar College received the funds to distribute as student scholarships on their campuses.

The business cards of Efrain Garcia, UTEP student-development specialist, and Sylvia Jaquez, Del Mar College financial-aid counselor, were selected at random from those submitted for a drawing at the recent Texas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators conference.

USA Funds provided the scholarship funding as part of its commitment to enhancing higher-education preparedness, access and success in Texas.
