TRAINetwork:
TASFAA Resource Activities Instructional Network
By TASFAA Association Activities and Resources Committee
Jim Anderson, Co-Chair, Texas Tech University
Lou Murray, Co-Chair, LoanSTAR

The TASFAA Association Activities and Resources Committee is urging all TASFAA members to volunteer information regarding the efforts your institution is making in the areas of outreach and early awareness. Whether you work for a school, lenders, servicer or guarantor, your contributions should be recognized as members of TASFAA.

As your institution participates in these types of events, we are urging you to inform the Association by utilizing the TRAINetwork. Simply go to www.financialaid.ttu.edu/TASFAA/train.htm, click on an area of the map, click submit event and complete the event form. Should you need assistance in navigating through TRAINetwork or need to discuss details regarding an event, you may email the committee at AssociationActivities@tasfaa.org.

TRAINetwork stands for TASFAA Resource Activities Instructional Network and was created in order to identify and acknowledge the various outreach and early awareness efforts accomplished by the Association's members and associate members. This data will be available for the TASFAA membership so that you are better informed of the activities that are taking place in specific areas of Texas and the territories that seem to be forgotten. Grade school events, high school nights, financial aid awareness events, parent nights and other types of activities will be listed and mapped. The system will allow your institution to view such activities by state territory, county and zip code and will also provide a brief detail of the event's purpose, audience, turnout and comments measuring the success following the event. This will be useful in conversations that take place between TASFAA members and community, state and federal leaders, as we continue to request their support.

Please bookmark the TRAINetwork and remember to log each and every event that your institution partakes in so that TASFAA can better track its efforts with outreach and early awareness.

Thank you for your support!
