SWASFAA Update
Submitted by June Hagler, SWASFAA Texas Delegate-at-Large

SWASFAA Board Meeting, Sept. 12-13, 2005, DFW Radisson Hotel, Dallas
SWASFAA Boot Camp, December 5-7, 2005
SWASFAA Fall Conference, December 7-9, 2005

Definitely, make plans this year to attend the 2005 Fall SWASFAA Reaching New Peaks Conference that will be held in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya.

Keynote speakers include Argus Hamilton, a syndicated columnist; Steve Morgan, a popular motivational speaker; Dallas Martin, NASFAA President; and Jeff Baker, our U.S. Department of Education friend and colleague. Sessions will include nuts and bolts for newcomers and special tracks for money management and enrollment management—just to name a few.

The Hyatt is a resort in a unique setting that provides a peaceful and relaxing venue with a spa located right in the hotel. Make your reservations now (for both the hotel and spa!)—800-867-1234.

Now is the time to volunteer for SWASFAA committee work for next year. There is no better way to meet new friends and colleagues than volunteering! The 2006 volunteer form is posted at www.swasfaa.org/docs/forms/volunteer_app.html.

Reminder: the SWASFAA membership dues changed this year from individual to institutional. The SWASFAA website has the membership application (www.swasfaa.org/docs/forms/mem_app.html). Membership dues must be current to vote in the coming election for the SWASFAA Officers and Board of Trustees.
