TG’s latest solutions and tools
In March, TG launched three new tools that will help your office become even more efficient. Learn how TG can help you better manage your cohort default rate, offer your student financial aid award packages online, and ensure that your PLUS applicants have their credit approved prior to guarantee.

TG offers IDA™, Your Integrated Default Assistant
TG’s Integrated Default Assistant (IDA) is our latest tool to help our schools and lenders manage their TG cohort default rates. TG has long been committed to helping schools manage their TG cohort default rates by providing schools with the Default Management Report (DMR). However, accessing and using the DMR can be time consuming, and it is only available on a monthly basis. In IDA, a web-based tool that you access through AdvanTG Web™, the data is updated weekly and you can receive these reports within minutes.

With IDA, you can:

  • Quickly identify borrowers who will affect your TG cohort default rate
  • Instantly create letters for these borrowers
  • Access information that can help you gauge and project your TG cohort default rate
  • Gain immediate access to reports that identify your institution’s default trends
  • Spend less time searching large reports to identify critical borrower accounts

Introducing TG Awards By Web™
TG Awards By Web (ABW) gives schools the ability to publish financial aid award information for their students online. Students can then review and accept or decline their award packages online through a secure Internet connection to ABW.

TG Awards By Web provides you with:

  • A consolidated Web portal with student award information
  • More time to better serve students
  • Faster and easier award notification with 24/7 student access for
  • award information
  • award changes
  • financial aid eligibility
  • award status
  • Online status of missing information
  • The ability to customize welcome letters and Web site content
  • A comprehensive display of individual student status and award information
  • Hyperlinks to TG Loans By Web™ and other school or business partner Web content

TG offers PLUS pre-approval processing
TG’s PLUS Credit Connection™ (PCC) through TG Loans By Web (LBW) ensures that credit approvals and denials for PLUS applicants are received prior to the loan being guaranteed. PCC uses the popular processing aspects of LBW, but also includes the functionality of pre-approvals. Schools may use PCC with a school or a borrower initiated process.

Applications processed through PCC go to the lender for a credit check before the school receives the application. Already, three servicers with 135 lenders are participating in PCC. PCC integrates TG’s application printing and processing services (APPS) or LBW e-sign connectivity to the lender Web site.

PCC will save your office valuable time and increase efficiency by avoiding the need to cancel guarantees because the PLUS loan was not approved. PCC integration with LBW means your parent borrowers can avoid going to multiple lender Web sites.

PCC will save your office time with the following features:

  • Consolidates information logically. Pull reports instantly on denied applications so you can certify the Unsubsidized Loan.
  • Maximizes your guarantees. Send only those PLUS applications that are approved for guarantee — no more guarantees that aren’t approved.
  • Customer service options that you’ve relied on through LBW are enhanced with pre-approval processing.
  • Provides approvals and denials in a standardized format. The entire process is CommonLine compliant — no data mapping or proprietary coding is necessary.
  • Immediate utilization available — no phases or staged implementation. It’s all here, right now.
