TASFAA Nominations and Elections

It’s time once again for TASFAA nominations. The TASFAA Nominations Committee is soliciting nominations for the positions of President Elect and members of the TASFAA Board. These positions all require volunteerism, dedication and WORK! This is a great opportunity to learn and make a contribution to TASFAA!!

TASFAA Really Wants…YOU.

Eligibility to hold office is not limited only to Directors of Financial Aid. Anyone in financial aid at a voting member institution from November 1, 2003 through October 31, 2004 is eligible. You may nominate yourself or a willing member of the TASFAA community. Please remember that TASFAA represents all types of institutions from across the state. It is important that our leadership be representative of our membership.

The election will take place online between July 1st and 23rd, 2004. A second notice or reminder via e-mail will go out on the TASFAA listserv. For more information on the positions, go to www.tasfaa.org.

  • President Elect – serves a very busy three-year commitment, as President Elect, President, and Past President.

  • Board members – Each serve a two-year term. This commitment requires teamwork and attendance at six board meetings a year.

  • Treasurer Elect – This position has a one year pre-term commitment. The official "Treasurer" term lasts for the ensuing three years.

The preferred deadline to submit nominations is May 10, 2004.
