Service Awards
There were 109 TASFAA members who qualified for service pins ranging
from 10 to 30 years. Those attending the Fall Conference received it
with their name badge and were recognized at the President’s Reception.
Those who were unable to attend received them in the mail. Special recognition
went to those receiving 25, and 30 year pins.
TASFAA Hall of Fame
This year TASFAA honored two members with induction into the TASFAA
Hall of Fame. Claire (Micki) Roemer and Richard
Duke are the two very deserving recipients of this honor. Micki
was nominated under the Service to TASFAA category for the many years
of service in the school community as well as The U.S. Department of
Education. Richard was nominated in the new Friend of TASFAA category
for being the inspiration of the wonderful relationship TASFAA has with
its vendor colleagues. Both of these inductees epitomize what TASFAA
stands for and represents. Congratulations Micki and Richard.
