TASFAA Student Scholarship Recipients

TASFAA is committed to helping needy students, and because of this the TASFAA Student Scholarship was created. All paid TASFAA member schools have a chance at receiving a $750 scholarship for their students. Each of the six regions receives two scholarships. The names of the school recipients are drawn at the May Board meeting and are recognized at the TASFAA Fall Conference. The 2001-2002 winners are:

Stephanie Blaney is a sophomore majoring in Education and has played on the tennis team both years.

Danna Casey is working towards an associate degree in OST and Criminal Justice.

Emily Floyd is a sophomore Maritime Studies major.

Edward Gamboa is a Social Behavioral Sciences major.

Stacy Harper is a full-time student, mom and full-time employee who is pursuing an Associate of Arts in Academic Studies.

Vanessa Hernandez is an Elementary Education major.

Molly Lasater is majoring in Exercise Science Kinesiology and would like to continue her graduate studies.

Kari Page is a sophomore General Academic major.

Jason Roberts is a sophomore Communications major.

Robin Speech is a senior with a double major in Mass Communications and English. Her aspiration is to become a successful radio producer. Robin is also a very active community volunteer.

Robert Tijerina is pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree in Fine Arts-Drama.

Elvia Valdez is a full-time student in the Medical Assistant program.

Stephanie Vasquez is a freshman majoring in Marketing.
