USA Funds' Spring 2002 Student Loan Workshops coming to four Texas sites

The USA Funds® Spring 2002 Student Loan Workshops will provide financial-aid professionals across the nation with the most recent information about issues affecting their role in assisting students. Workshops are scheduled at the following Texas locations:
Dallas - May 6
Embassy Suites Dallas Love Field
3880 W. Northwest Highway

Houston - May 7
Wyndham Greenspoint Hotel

San Antonio - May 8

Workshop participants will hear the latest on federal education-loan policy and regulations, the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), federal methodology, e-signatures, professional judgment and exit loan counseling. The sessions also will offer news from USA Funds, including details about the guarantor's default-prevention efforts.

Workshop registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m., and the workshops are from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Education Resource Center (ERC) will present the sessions. The ERC works on behalf of USA Funds to present free seminars, training sessions and conferences throughout the country to help Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) participants improve the financial-aid process.
